ASX Announcement GIDGEE GOLD PROJECT, WA

Gateway Mining NL (ASX: GML) announces further exploration drilling results from its Gidgee Gold Project

Recent drilling tested the Airport. Whistler and Victory Creek prospects. A total of 1.784 metres of reverse circulation and 87.90 metres of diamond drilling was completed.

  • Further high-grade gold mineralisation up to 28.80g/t has been reported from narrow zones at Airport.
  • Gold intersections of up to 6q/t have been returned from holes adjacent to the mined $\bullet$ Whistler open pit.
  • The Company has commenced a preliminary estimate of the underground resource at the $\bullet$ Whistler deposit.
  • At Victory Creek, drilling results have extended the mineralised trend by 200 metres. Results indicate a large hydrothermal system has been discovered under 20 metres of cover.

A summary of results is included in attached table and a detailed description follows below.

Airport Gateway 85%, Herald Resources Limited 15%

At Airport the aim of drilling was to test high-grade gold mineralisation reported in earlier RAB holes and to better define the geometry of mineralisation.

Airport is an extensive 4 kilometre long gold anomalous trend containing numerous zones of highgrade quartz veins discovered by Gateway drilling. The high-grade veins are structurally complex comprising rod like shoots. They are however quite numerous and with increased drill testing have the potential to provide a rapid cash flow through small-scale open pit and underground mining.

Drilling (9 holes for 605 metres) tested the Pannikin, Willy Willy, Bullseye and Rosie North prospects. Gold in quartz carbonate sulphide veining within the Montague granodiorite and adjacent metabasalts was confirmed by the drilling.

All results are within 50 metres of the surface, no deep drilling has yet been undertaken. The vein systems may be indicative of a larger gold resource at depth

The company will continue to drill test the area.

Whistler Gateway 85%, Herald Resources Limited 15%

The company has commenced a preliminary feasibility on underground development of the Whistler resource where Herald Resources calculated an inferred resource of 159,000 tonnes @ 5.30 q/t gold (28,000 ounces) below the mined open pit.

Drilling (6 holes for 599 metres) tested secondary targets at the northern end of the pit and in structures identified in the eastern hanging wall.

Drilling has intersected anomalous gold mineralisation (0.26 g/t) in zones up to 25 metres wide and a best intersection of 6.68 g/t over a one metre interval.

The significance of these results that occur outside the known underground resource will be further investigated.

Victory Creek Gateway 75%, Red 5 25%

Drilling tested the Victory Creek and Hypotenuse prospects.

At Victory Creek (3 holes for 380 metres) drilling tested wide zones of intense alteration that are directly associated with a large hydrothermal multi-element (gold-arsenic-antimony) geochemical anomaly. Results of an IP survey have also identified a bullseye resistivity high coincident with alteration and geochemical zones. A diamond core (89 metres) hole was drilled to gain valuable orientation data.

Results of the diamond core indicate the mineralised zones strike in a northwest orientation and dip steeply to the north. This indicates that previous drilling has been drilled oblique to the trend and not tested the true potential of mineralisation. The diamond core failed to test the main zone and instead intersected a subparallel zone of anomalous mineralisation, which is encouraging.

Drilling 200 metres to the north has discovered a new zone of mineralisation. Hole GRC078 intersected a broad zone of 45 metres @ 0.24 g/t gold. The last three metres of the hole ended in significant mineralisation of 3 metres [email protected] q/t qold.$

The Victory Creek prospect is open in all directions. Drilling has intersected multiple mineralised zones over a distance of 200 metres. Results indicate a large hydrothermal system has been discovered under 20 metres of transported cover in an area where very little previous exploration has been undertaken.

The company will continue to drill test the area.

At Hypotenuse, RC drilling (2 holes for 200 metres) tested beneath a strong arsenic-antimony anomaly encountered previously in shallow RAB drilling. Holes intersected significant quartz carbonate sulphide veining with associated gold anomalism up to 0.49 g/t. This anomaly is considered to be highly encouraging from this first pass RC program.

The veining is contained within a shear zone up to 60 metres wide. The zone is open in all directions.

The company will continue to drill test the area.
