ASX Announcement ASX: GML

19 January 2026

SIGNIFICANT GOLD MINERALISATION INTERSECTED IN AIRCORE DRILLING

VERY STRONG BOTTOM-OF-HOLE RESULTS SHOW HIGH GRADE GOLD

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Aircore drilling continues to expand the emerging gold system at Mustang-Pony, where two clear trends are emerging along the Celia and Mustang shear structures (see Fig 1).

  • Aircore drilling has ‘clipped’ the targeted mafic-intermediate contact zone in a number of holes on the Celia shear at or near the BOH in both holes. Results include:

  • MPAC187: 2m @ 3.4g/t Au (fresh) from 148m to BOH, within a broader 6m @ 1.4g/t Au from 144m (see Fig 2);

  • MPAC231: 4m @ 2.9g/t Au (fresh) from 148m within a broader 16m @ 1.0g/t Au from 136m (see Fig 3)

  • These holes were drilled as part of wide-spaced aircore drilling on lines 200m to 400m apart N-S, and confirm the targeted mafic-intermediate shear contains high-grade gold mineralisation.

  • The same structure has been intersected a further 200m south again (assays pending).

  • Further to the east on the Mustang shear, drilling continues to intersect strongly anomalous gold in saprolite near to the approximate location of the targeted shear zone – tighter spaced aircore drilling is planned to confirm the location of the targeted shear (see Fig 4) for follow up RC drilling.

  • Aircore drilling has been brought forward, with drilling to recommence in the coming days with two rigs on site.

  • Gateway remains well capitalised to undertake planned 2026 exploration, having approximately $13.1m (cash and liquid ASX securities) at the end of the September quarter, as well as having completed an additional $22.5m capital raising post September quarter.

Introduction

Gateway Mining Limited (ASX: GML) ( Gateway or Company ) is pleased to provide an update on its Yandal Gold Project in Western Australia.

Management Comment

Gateway’s Executive Chairman, Mr Andrew Bray, said: Drilling across the two key shear structures – the Celia Shear and the Mustang Shear – continues to demonstrate widespread gold anomalism (see Figure 1). On the Celia structure, MPAC187 intersected 2m @ 3.4gt Au (fresh) in the final two metres of the hole before blade refusal, and 300m to the south, MPAC231 intersected the same structure with 4m @ 2.9g/t Au (fresh) right near the end of the hole. These results are from where the hole ‘clipped’ the targeted shear structure – Figures 2 and 3 provide a good graphical representation.

Further to the east on the Mustang Shear, gold anomalism in saprolite has now been intersected over 2.5km in strike, with drilling also continuing to approximately locate the targeted shear zone. For example, MPAC076 intersected 10m @ 0.4g/t Au from 36m in saprolite and ended in intermediate volcanics, and MPAC077 located 100m east intersected 9m @ 0.3g/t Au from 43m and ended in mafic volcanics, meaning the targeted contact zone is in between these two holes (see Figure 4). Additional tighter aircore drilling is planned to precisely locate the target structure for follow up RC drilling.

==> picture [76 x 46] intentionally omitted <==

None of the aircore holes on the Mustang trend have yet intersected the target shear structure, which is where the Company expects to intersect higher grade gold (as seen in the Celia structure to the west). However, the upcoming tighter spaced drilling should intersect the structure in a number of holes.

Outside of these results, the drilling is continuing to successfully map out this mafic-intermediate contact (Figure 5), which is the key regional target horizon for significant gold mineralisation (and the same contact which hosts significant gold mineralisation at the Horse Well Gold Camp). Along these structures, we expect to continue to see areas of dilation and stronger gold anomalism, which will then form the key basis for follow up RC drilling. Importantly, this works shows a clear stratigraphic link to the Horse Well mineralisation, highlighting the impressive scale of the broader gold system (Figure 5).

Two aircore rigs will be back drilling very soon – one rig undertaking close-spaced aircore drilling amongst the already-identified areas of stronger gold anomalism, and the second rig drilling systematically southwards across the Mustang shear.

A significant quantity of diamond core is still being logged and cut on site – the Company expects the backlog of core to be processed and delivered to the laboratory in the coming fortnight.

Further updates will be provided in due course.”

Yandal Gold Project

Further assays from the ongoing aircore program across the Mustang-Pony trend continue to define an extensive gold system across the Celia Shear structure on the west, and the Mustang Shear structure to the east. While the initial aircore program is comprised of wide-spaced aircore drilling, all aircore lines have detected gold anomalism proximal to the shear structures.

Celia Shear structure

Further assays from the ongoing aircore program across the Mustang-Pony trend have intersected significant gold mineralisation across the Celia Shear structure (Figure 1). Key intercepts from this drilling include:

  • MPAC187: 6 metres @ 1.4g/t Au from 144 metres to BOH (incl. 2 metres @ 3.4g/t Au from 148 metres to BOH) (fresh rock)

  • MPAC231: 16 metres @ 1g/t Au from 136 metres (incl. 4 metres @ 2.9g/t Au) (fresh rock)

  • MPAC230: 8 metres @ 1.2g/t Au from 92 metres (incl. 4 metres @ 2g/t Au) (oxide)

The higher-grade results in MPAC187 and MPAC231 are from where drilling ‘clipped’ the targeted shear zone, and confirm that this key structure is host to significant gold mineralisation. The holes are located 100 metres apart (north-south) and the same structure has been intersected again on the next line 200m further to the south.

Mustang Shear

East of the Celia Shear structure on the Mustang Shear, all aircore lines have intersected gold anomalism proximal to the estimated location of the shear zone. Gold mineralisation is now defined over a 2.5km strike and remains open to both the north and south (Figure 1 above). Initial drilling along this trend is wide-spaced, with infill drilling required to accurately map the key mafic-intermediate contact, which is expected to host the most significant gold mineralisation.

In the current batch of results, for example, MPAC076 intersected 10m @ 0.4g/t Au from 36m[1] in saprolite and ended in intermediate volcanics, and MPAC077 intersected 9m @ 0.3g/t Au from 43m[1] and ended in mafic volcanics, meaning the targeted mineralised contact is in between these two holes (see Figure 4 below).

Figure 4: Cross Section C through the Eastern Gold Trend showing where drillholes MPAC0076 and MPAC0077 drilled either side of the target sheared lithological contact. Approximate locations of planned infill drillholes displayed.

Closer spaced aircore drilling will soon commence to build a firmer understanding of the exact location of the untested shear zone. There are several other identified areas requiring tighter drilling (similar to the above section) located along the main Mustang structure.

Ongoing Lithological Mapping

Bottom of hole (BOH) samples from ongoing aircore drilling, in conjunction with historic BOH resampling, have been assayed for full multielement analysis. The results of this work have generated a qualitative simplified geological map based on Ti/Zr ratios (Appendix B) and visual logging in the field. Based on the results of this analysis, the right-hand panel below clearly shows the contact between the mafic units (green) compared with the intermediate units (red) – this is one of the key objectives of the aircore program.

The results of this work are of critical relevance – it shows a direct stratigraphic link back to the high-grade gold mineralisation at Horse Well.

Given this part of the Project is ‘under cover’, this ongoing work is of strong importance in delineating the precise location of the key target shear zones.

As Figure 5 shows below, drilling and historic sampling to date has provided greater definition of the approximate location of the mafic-intermediate contacts on the Celia and Mustang shears (and also highlights the work that needs doing, particularly on the Mustang trend to the south). Upcoming aircore drilling will continue to firstly map the approximate location of the target zones, then secondly tighten up the drilling in preparation for a follow up RC program.

Figure 5: Topographic maps of the Celia and Mustang Shear Zones. Left panel shows the delineated gold mineralisation extents from the ongoing aircore program in relation to the key Celia and Mustang Shear Zones. Right panel shows the lithological groups of BOH aircore and historic re-sampling where gold mineralisation is primarily located along the mafic-intermediate contacts at Pony, Mustang and the Horse Well Gold Camp.

The Celia Shear Zone primarily follows a mafic-intermediate contact, which is host to the Horse Well Gold Camp. Multi-elemental data classification of lithology groups highlights this contact to span at least 7km of strike, with the Horse Well Gold Camp in the south, and the Haflinger Gold Target (which is only partially drilled to date) in the north.

Further complexity is introduced to the south of the Haflinger Gold Target, where the sheared contact flexures around the margin of a series of intrusions and converges with the Mustang Shear Zone. This setting, which is yet to be fully drill tested by the ongoing aircore program, is an ideal setting for a large gold system, where multiple dilation zones are expected within the flexured shear zone.

The Mustang Shear Zone, which is defined over a minimum strike of 8km by historic drilling, is denoted by a large block of mafic volcanic units to the east, and intermediate volcanics to the west. The mafic volcanic unit is highly altered along the Mustang Shear Zone, with a very competent intermediate volcanic unit located directly adjacent. This strong rheological contrast along the Mustang Shear Zone has resulted in a high degree of deformation and localised dilation zones, representing a prospective setting for gold discoveries, which bodes well for the continued southward exploration drilling of the Eastern Gold Target.

Upcoming Drilling :

Aircore drilling will recommence in the coming days with two rigs on site. The first rig will focus on infill drilling between the 400m spaced fence lines, as well as closer spaced drilling between the 100m spaced E-W holes around areas of stronger anomalism. This increased drill density is expected to accurately delineate the key mafic-intermediate contact shear zone. These targets will then be followed up by RC drilling.

The second rig will drill systematically southwards along the Mustang Shear (see left panel in Figure 5 above), with the aim of approximately mapping the mafic-intermediate contact. Follow-up, closer spaced aircore is expected to then accurately define the key contact zone in preparation for subsequent RC drilling.

metre intervals utilizing a KT-10 instrument. At the start of each
hole, the KT-10 instrument was calibrated/checked against a
reference material before collecting 1m interval data from sample
piles.
• A handheld Olympus Vanta XRF instrument was utilised to aid
the at-rig geologist determining downhole lithologies. The
instrument was calibrated at the start of each analysis session,
with a QC reading taken on alternating Certified Reference
Materials (Blank and OREAS45d) at a ratio of 1:20 samples.
Handheld XRF readings were taken on pulverized material from
dry bottom of hole samples systematically, and from dry samples
throughout a hole where the geologist determined geochemical
data was necessary to determine lithology.
