APPOINTMENT OF NEW NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Mr Brian Gomez has today resigned as Non-Executive Chairman of Gateway Mining Limited (“Gateway” or the “Company”). Mr Gomez has been a very loyal supporter of Gateway over a substantial period of time, having led the company since 1994. Mr Gomez has diligently provided leadership of the Company through a range of market conditions, while constantly ensuring the Company was managed in the best interests of all shareholders. Mr Gomez’ contribution in both a corporate and geological capacity will be genuinely missed by the Company.

Gateway extends its gratitude to Mr Gomez for his length of service and enormous commitment to bringing Gateway to where it is today. We wish him the very best for his future endeavours.

In his place, the Board has appointed Mr Trent Franklin to the position of Non-Executive Chairman. Mr Franklin is a qualified geologist with a strong track record of corporate experience. He is currently the Managing Director of Enrizen Financial Group, and formerly a director of the Australian Olympic Committee Inc and Australian Water Polo Inc. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
