APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

Gateway Mining Limited (“Gateway” or “the Company”) is very pleased to have today appointed Mr Ian McDonald as a Non-Executive Director. Mr McDonald takes the place of Dr Bob Creelman, who has today retired after serving as a Director of the Company since 1994.

Mr McDonald brings a wealth of experience to Gateway, with a career spanning more than three decades in the exploration industry. Throughout his career he has held senior positions with a number of leading resources companies, including Western Mining Corporation Limited, North Limited, and Jabiru Metals Limited.

Importantly, Mr McDonald has considerable experience in Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) and gold exploration projects. His expertise in VMS exploration will allow him to make a significant and valuable contribution to Gateway’s upcoming drilling programs.

Andrew Bray, Managing Director, said, "Ian brings enormous technical expertise and experience to Gateway and it is a great vote of confidence in the Company’s Gidgee projects to have such a highly respected and experienced exploration geologist join the Gateway team.”

The Company wishes to thank Dr Creelman for his services to Gateway over the past 18 years. Dr Creelman has provided excellent advice and technical expertise to the Company during his tenure. The Company wishes him well in his future endeavours.
