GIDGEE PROJECT, WA

Work completed

  • EM geophysical surveys

  • Ground follow up of geophysical anomalies

  • Aircore (~3,200m) and RC (~2,500m) drilling programme

  • Reconnaissance field work

  • Drill targets generated, and now ready to drill with Programmes of Work approved

AGM 30 November 2011

7

GIDGEE PROJECT, WA

VMS Potential

  • Aircore and RAB drilling has intersected significant Cu, Zn, As, Sb, Mn and Ba anomalism along a significant stratigraphic length

  • A number of these holes have intersected sulphides and gossans

  • These zones also contain a number of Electro-Magnetic (EM) geophysical) conductors – VMS sulphide lenses are commonly EM conductors

  • The greenstone package contains felsic and mafic volcanic rocks and siliciclastic sediments, typical of “Bi-Modal Mafic” packages that host a number of VMS occurrences within the Yilgarn Craton

  • Mineralisation at The Cup occurs associated with massive sulphides, and exhibits geochemical zoning from Cu to Zn/As typical of Bi-Modal Mafic VMS systems

  • The Montague Granite may be a sub-volcanic intrusion that is co-magmatic with the volcanics in the greenstone package, and was probably the heat engine that drove the VMS mineralisation

  • The chemical composition of the granite is typical of sub-volcanic intrusions associated with this style of VMS

  • The weak Au-Cu mineralisation within the granite at Rosie Northeast may possibly be porphyryrelated mineralisation coincident with the intrusion of the granite and related to the higher level VMS mineralisation,

AGM 30 November 2011

8

– GIDGEE GOSSANS GALORE, – GRAVEL PIT VMS POTENTIAL

Overview

  • 2010 aircore white circles, earlier RAB – black dots

  • Excellent VMS potential not as yet tested by RC drilling, and only sparse aircore drilling

  • Strong EM anomalies  Anomalous Cu, Zn and VMS pathfinder RAB and aircore geochemistry in interpreted dispersion zones. Similar tenor to that above mineralisation at “The Cup”

  • Massive sulphides and gossans intersected in drilling

  • Lithogeochemical studies show alteration zonation commonly associated with VMS systems

9

– GIDGEE GOSSANS GALORE, GRAVEL PIT

Results

  • West Anomaly – 800m strike, steep NE dip, top at 148m below surface, anomalous Cu (to 773ppm), Zn (to 396ppm), As (to 2,020ppm) in three aircore holes drilled. Gossan at end of one hole

  • Central Anomaly 900m strike, steep NE dip, top at 140m below surface. No drilling directly over anomaly, however holes to north intersected up to 355ppm Cu in an interpreted dispersion blanket

  • East Anomaly 1,000m strike, steep north dip, top at 220m below surface, up to 2,130ppm Cu and 811ppm Zn in an interpreted dispersion zone, 50m downhole (~25m true width) massive and semi-massive sulphides in hole AGAC019 coincident with EM

  • Gravel Pit four parallel EM anomalies, possibly along strike from The Cup, however Gravel Pit prospect is not coincident with any of them. Up to 517ppm Cu in ironstones/gossans

AGM 30 November 2011

10

– GIDGEE THE CUP, JULIA’S FAULT

Overview

  • 2010 RC drilling – white circles, previous RAB and RC drilling – black dots

  • Julia’s Fault

  • Both prospects occur on a 3km interpreted mineralised trend, marked by EM and geochemical anomalism

  • Zone is possibly at the upper contact of basalts with overlying –

  • intermediate volcaniclastics a typical stratigraphic position for VMS mineralisation

  • Lithogeochemical work indicates sericite and chlorite/sericite alteration

  • Julia’s Fault (Gateway 75%, Red 5 25%) – Gateway gold discovery, however 2010 drilling (three RC holes) intersected elevated copper, including 26m @ 0.21% Cu associated with The Cup massive pyrite and elevated gold in hole GRC206

  • The Cup (Gateway 100%, Avenue earning 80%) – one RC hole (AGRC007) drilled downdip from hole GRC200 (77m @ 0.77% Cu, inc. 26m @ 1.45% Cu) intersected elevated zinc and copper, interpreted as a downdip termination of a massive sulphide lens. Mineralisation still open along strike to the north and south

- GIDGEE AIRPORT AREA

Overview

  • Located over a group of oxide gold deposits mined in the 1980’s by Herald Resources and others, with Herald (through Goldfan) still retaining a 15% free carried interest in a number of the tenements

  • Approximately 100,000oz of gold was produced from the area

  • Pits generally on the western Montague Granodiorite/greenstone contact

  • Group of ML’s included in the Gateway/Goldfan/Avenue JV agreement

AGM 30 November 2011

- GIDGEE AIRPORT AREA

2010 Drilling Summary

 RC drilling over a number of prospects: –  Rosie Northeast 3 x 200m holes testing coincident geophysical and geochemical anomalies

–  Whistler 2 x 200m RC holes testing for repeats and extensions of the current 24,800oz JORC-compliant resource under the Whistler pit

– –  Montague Boulder 3 x 200m holes to test targets underneath the open pit

BUNGARRA

Overview

  • Reconnaissance work has been carried out on the now 100% Gateway held Bungarra tenements (E57/706 and E57/709)

  • This has included ground checking a number of prospects defined by Legend, and also following up a number of EM anomalies

  • Preliminary interpretations indicate that the areas represents in part an island arc felsic volcanic sequence intruded by mafic to ultramafic igneous complexes

  • Felsic units have returned base metal anomalous base metal and pathfinder elements

  • Up to 2,100ppm Zn and 2,470ppm copper has been returned from rock chips.

- GIDGEE OTHER PROSPECTS

Overview

  • Victory Creek gold mineralisation requiring further drilling

  • Birthday Zone intermittent gossans and EM conductors coincident with anomalous geochemistry along a strike of 5km

  • Part of this trend forms the eastern margin of the Montague Granodiorite

  • At the Birthday Gossan work has identified 140m strike of gossan, with rock chips returning up to 1,070ppm Zn and 789ppm Cu

AGM 30 November 2011

16

GIDGEE PROJECT, WA

Going Forward

  • Drilling has been planned for targets generated from EM surveying, 2010 drilling and field work

  • This is on both 100% GML ground and all JV tenements, which Gateway currently manages

  • Programmes of Work approved for this programme

  • Continuing target generation on other areas

  • This will be used to plan ongoing work programmes

AGM 30 November 2011

17

COWRA PROJECT, NSW

Overview

 Exploring for copper-gold in the Molong Volcanic Belt, host to the 30 million oz Newcrest Cadia/Ridgeway operations.  The Cowra Tenements are the least explored area in the Belt. These contain large complex intrusives with associated skarn development along the edges of the parent granite.  Previously reported drilling has intersected skarn-style alteration, with associated elevated copper and gold, including intersections of 4m @ 5g/t Au and 30m @ 0.6% Cu
