Work Completed
-
Through meeting expenditure requirements Minotaur earned 51% of the project during the year
-
Following the previous years positive drilling results the JV partners expanded their commitment to the project
-
Work carried out in 2009 included a 350km[2] heliborne VTEM survey , followed up by ground EM and magnetics surveys over nine targets
-
Drilling was carried out over eight targets subsequent to the end o f t h e year
-
This drilling intersected significant sulphides in all of the targeted EM anomalies , however without si g nificant g old or co pp er intersections

Overview
-
Includes approximately 300km[2] of tenements over the Gum Creek Greenstone belt
-
Considered prospective for gold , copper and nickel
-
Significant exploration success for gold and copper
-
data review has highlighted a number of areas that warrant further work
-
Tenement holdings are being rationalised so as expenditure can be concentrated on most prospective areas

Results
-
As reported last year, results from WCP’s drilling were very encouraging, including 22m @ 14 . 95g/t gold from an existing resource under the Whistler pit, and significant intersections in an interpreted hanging wall shoot
-
Th e r d illi ng resu lt e d i n o th er encourag ng n ersec i i t ti ons, nc u i l di ng 102 m @ 0.42g/t Au in hole WRC012 in the Rosie area, and Gateway believes there is the potential for significant sulphide gold resources in the Airport area
-
The results of the SAM survey indicate that this method is suitable for use in the Gidgee area
-
This survey also delineated a structure striking north from the Whistler pit that warrants testing for continuation of the whistler mineralisation
-
The work completed during the year has resulted in a number of high priority drill targets being identified

Overview
-
A virgin gold discovery by Gateway, originally intersected in RC follow up of RAB anomalies
-
Follow up RC drilling during 2007/2008 confirmed the results of earlier RC drilling
-
Aircore drilling during 2009 returned significant intersections , including 5m @ 3 . 47g/t Au in hole GAC004, and 10m @ 0.92g/t Au in GAC001(EOH)
-
Drilling problems resulted in a number of holes not penetrating the gossans
-
Gold has been intersected in widely spaced holes over a strike length of 950m to date, and a number of holes have been terminated in mineralisation due to drilling difficulties

Overview
-
Bungarra West JV with Legend Mining over E57/709 – GML retains a 30% free carried interest
-
100% GML tenements immediately to the south of the JV tenement
-
EM surveying over the area has delineated a number of anomalies
-
Rock chip sampling of gossanous/ironstone material has returned up to 377ppb Au
-
Modelling of the southernmost anomaly within the JV tenement indicated three moderate to strong conductors, with depths ranging from 30-100m
-
RAB drilling over a strong conductor within 100% GML P57/1881 failed to explain the anomaly due to lack of drilling penetration
-
It is planned to drill test these targets during the current year

Minotaur initially carried out gravity and IP surveys
-
A six hole RC drilling programme completed in 2008 , targeting IP geophysical anomalies, intersected anomalous copper, including 4m @ 0.86%
-
Deeper gravity anomalies are yet to be drill tested
-
An EM survey carried out after the drilling has also delineated a number of targets , which are as yet untested
