ITEM 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

On January 19, 2016, Lewis G. Schwartz, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and a Named Executive Officer, of Gartner, Inc. (“Gartner”) transitioned to a new role as Executive Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.

Effective the same day, as part of a planned succession, Gartner named Daniel S. Peale, age 43, as its Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Before joining Gartner in October 2015, Mr. Peale was a corporate and securities partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Washington, D.C.
