APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO THE GARDA BOARD
Garda Property Group (Garda or Group) today announced the appointment of Mr Oliver Talbot as a non-executive director to the Group Board, effective immediately.
Oliver has over 20 years’ experience as a corporate legal adviser in Australia and the UK, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic board matters.
Mr Talbot was a founding principal at Talbot Sayer, which has grown from its inception in 2014 to be ranked as the most prolific M&A firm in Australia and New Zealand in each year from 2020 to 2023 (Refinitiv/LSEG league tables, deals up to A$500 million).
Mr Talbot is currently a non-executive director of Render Networks and UrbanX and has recently founded Franklin Thaler, a private investment vehicle focussed on the long-term compounding of its capital.
Garda Executive Chairman, Matthew Madsen commented: “We are delighted to welcome such a valuable addition to Garda. The Board look forward to Oliver’s engagement on the Group’s continued strategy execution”.
Mr Talbot has also been appointed as a member of Audit and Risk Committee, as well as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
