Appointment of Mr Morgan Parker as a Non-Executive Director
The Board of GARDA Capital Group ( Group or GCM ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Morgan Parker as a Non-Executive and independent Director of the Group, effective today.
Mr Parker has 24 years’ experience as a real estate investor, developer and banker at some of the world's most prestigious and successful firms, Mr Parker has completed sixty-five projects in nine countries. Mr Parker is currently a non-executive director at SunCentral, the government-owned company responsible for development of Maroochydore City Centre on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. He has previously worked for Morgan Stanley, Lendlease and Macquarie Group.
In his most recent executive role as Chief Operating Officer at the US$35 billion Dubai Holding, Mr Parker was responsible for leading the Group’s industry innovation programs and its most significant business initiative and one of the world’s largest projects - the creation of Dubai’s new city centre.
GCM’s Executive Chairman Matthew Madsen welcomed Mr Parker to the Board and said: “Morgan brings a wealth of experience and thought leadership, and we are delighted to welcome such a valuable addition to the Board.”
Mr Parker has also been appointed as a member of GCM’s Audit and Risk Committee, as well as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
