Galp and Sonatrach sign an agreement for gas sourcing

Galp informs that it has signed an agreement with Sonatrach to ensure the sourcing of 2.5 billion cubic metres (bcm) per year of natural gas from Algeria to Iberia, through the existing international pipelines routes. The contract will be in place for up to 10 years.

The agreed volumes represent over a third of Galp's natural gas sales in 2018 and further reinforce the over 20-year partnership between the two companies.

The contract fits Galp's global strategy by securing a balanced and competitive long-term sourcing for its international natural gas activities, contributing to the development of efficient and environmentally sustainable energy solutions.
