Resignation of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

G8 Education Limited (ASX:GEM) advises that Christopher Sacre has resigned from his position of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

Chris Scott, Managing Director commented: “Chris Sacre has been with G8 (and its predecessor ELY) for more than eight years. During this time, Chris played a key role in our rapid growth.

Normally, this would be regarded as a very sad day professionally and personally as Chris and I have worked so closely together over the years. But, on this occasion, the reality is somewhat different.

Chris is moving from one part of G8 (as employee) to another part of G8 (as a supplier of services and an independent contractor) where he will continue to engage his entrepreneurial talent and extensive knowledge of the sector.

Specifically, Chris will engage with G8 as preferred supplier in the acquisition of existing centres and the development of premium new centres in strategic locations. I have no doubt that Chris will be successful in these endeavours given his infectious enthusiasm and undoubted ability. I truly see this as beneficial for both Chris and G8.

An executive recruitment search will commence immediately. Chris will continue in his role until his replacement commences employment, ensuring a seamless transition for this critical role.”
