CHUNG HWA DEV<1051> - Share Consolidation Market participants are requested to note that the shares of HK$0.10 each ("Old Shares") in the capital of Chung Hwa Development Holdings Limited will be consolidated into shares of HK$0.01 each (subject to the Capital Reduction & Capital Consolidation becoming effective) ("New Shares") on the basis of 2 into 1 subject to its shareholders' approval at the Special General Meeting to be held on 12/6/2000. Upon the proposals becoming effective, a temporary counter under stock code 2905 and stock short name "CHUNG HWA DEV" will be established for trading in board lots of 1,000 New Shares each to replace the present counter (stock code: 1051) for trading in board lots of 2,000 Old Shares each effective from Wednesday, 14/6/2000.
