TRADING HALT

The securities of Red Emperor Resources Limited (the "Company") will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday 30 April 2012, or when the announcement is released to the market.

Request for Trading Halt

Red Emperor Resources NL (ASX | AIM: RMP) hereby requests a trading halt to be applied to all the quoted securities of the Company to apply from commencement of trading on Thursday, 26 April 2012.

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, we provide the following information in relation to this request.

• $(a)$ The Company is seeking a trading halt pending an announcement in relation to a capital raising.
• $(b)$ We request the trading halt be put in place until the Company is in a position to make an announcement, which is expected to be before market open on Monday. 30 April 2012.
• $(c)$ We are not aware of any reason why a trading halt should not be granted.
