VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OF BIG DATA PLATFORM IN SOUTH KOREA

This announcement is made by Future Data Group Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) on a voluntary basis. The purpose of this announcement is to keep the shareholders and potential investors of the Company informed of the latest business development of the Group.

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that our Korea subsidiary, Global Telecom Company Limited (“ Global Telecom ”), has been selected by Seocho (“ Seocho ” or the “ District ”) district government to design and deploy Big Data platform for Seocho’s “Smart City Project” (the “ Project ”) at a contract sum of approximately Hong Kong Dollars 11.3 million. This is the second contract win since the government awarded Global Telecom to build a similar platform for Siheung city in Gyeonggi-do last year.

The Project is a state-run project with the purpose to promote new growth industries in Seocho district, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has selected road congestion and traffic accident as one of the several information systems for the Project. In this particular project, the District government focuses on providing video information to police stations and fire stations in real time when an accident or accidents are recorded.

The heart of the Project is a Big Data video information analysis system which was designed and implemented to predict accident risks and establish effective preventive measures, by collecting and analysing Big Data of regional crimes, accident statistics, cameras, street lights, police stations, fire departments and emergency medical centers.

Upon completion by December 2018, the Project will increase the value of urban living as well as the safety and convenience of Seocho district as it allows the local government to systematically link and manage major information, such as that of crime, accident and transportation.

Meanwhile, the state government and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has selected the Project as a national strategic project and push ahead within 80 local governments by 2022.

Our subsidiary, Global Telecom, is the only company that has won the Big Data smart city integrated platform contract for two local governments in a row in South Korea. The Board is confident that the Group will capture more market share in the upcoming smart city projects within 80 local governments.
