VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

BUSINESS UPDATE ON KOREA OPERATION

This announcement is made by Future Data Group Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) on a voluntary basis. The purpose of this announcement is to keep the shareholders and potential investors of the Company informed of the latest business development of the Group.

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that our Korea subsidiary, Global Telecom Company Limited (“ Global Telecom ”), has won a contract from the Republic of Korea Navy Headquarters (“ ROKN ”) to design, build and deploy a new Meteorological Information System (the “ MIS ”) at a contract sum of approximately Hong Kong Dollars 19 million.

Global Telecom has experience in building military projects that are relatively demanding compared to those of the private sector and proposed technology solutions which match the directions our customers are pursuing. These conditions provide us an advantage of being selected by ROKN.

MIS project aims to replace its predecessor. The new system shall support the weather information for each naval base’s command centre, improve the software capabilities and features to better analyse and customise weather information visualisation, and strengthen the security of the military internal network against cyber threats, through an indirect interworking network separation system which connects with external organisations such as Korea Meteorological Administration.

Upon successful deployment of the MIS project, Global Telecom would have a green light to participate in the naval and joint-defense budget of Information System category, which is worth approximately Hong Kong Dollars 700 million per year.
