PROFIT WARNING

This announcement is made by Future Data Group Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) pursuant to Rule 17.10(2)(a) of The Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on GEM (the “ GEM Listing Rules ”) of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Stock Exchange ”) and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the GEM Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company (“ Shareholders ”) and potential investors that, based on a preliminary assessment of the latest unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2023 and the information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to record a loss after tax attributable to the owners of the Company of not less than HK$10.0 million for the three months ended 31 March 2023 as compared to a loss after tax attributable to the owners of the Company of approximately HK$4.7 million for the three months ended 31 March 2022.

The increase in loss was mainly attributable to (i) the pressure of employee costs increment in information technology industry; (ii) unfavourable exchange rate movement of South Korean Won against United States dollars; and (iii) relatively low margin projects obtained from strategic customers in Korea.

The Company is still in the process of finalising its consolidated financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2023 of the Group. The information contained in this announcement is only based on the Board’s preliminary assessment of the latest unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and information currently available to the Board and is not based on any financial figures or information which have been audited or reviewed by the auditors nor approved by the audit committee of the Company. Detailed financial information and performance of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2023 will be disclosed in

the forthcoming quarterly results announcement of the Company. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to read the first quarterly results announcement of the Company carefully, which is expected to be published on 12 May 2023.
