Frøy ASA – Delivery of wellboat newbuild

Frøya, Norway, April 18, 2023

Frøy ASA (“Frøy”) is pleased to announce that it has today taken delivery of the newbuild MS Gåsø Odin from Sefine Shipyard in Turkey.

MS Gåsø Odin has 4.500m3 well capacity and a dual system for removal of sea lice with both freshwater treatment and Hydrolicer capability.

Andreas Moe, Head of Wellboat in Frøy said “Gåsø Odin is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for safe, sustainable, and efficient wellboat operations. The vessel is equipped with pressure sorting enabling removal of all types of cleaning fish, freshwater treatment with reuse, osmose plant for production of fresh water and an advanced and automated hygiene system.”

The vessel will commence on a long-term charter to a large Norwegian salmon farmer upon arrival in Norway.
