Correction of the release of February 15, 2013 according to Article 26,
Section 1 of the WpHG [the German Securities Trading Act] with the
objective of Europe-wide distribution

On February 13, 2013, Thornburg Investment Management Inc., Santa Fé, NM,
United States has informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the
WpHG that via shares its voting rights on Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co.
KGaA, Bad Homburg, Germany, ISIN: DE0005785802, WKN: 578580 have crossed
the 5% threshold of the voting rights on February 6, 2013 and on that day
amounted to 5.003% (this corresponds to 15,147,822 voting rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 WpHG, 5.003% of the
voting rights (this corresponds to 15,147,822 voting rights) is to be
attributed to the company.

On February 13, 2013, Mr. Garrett Thornburg, NM, United States has informed
us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares his
voting rights on Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA, Bad Homburg,
Germany, ISIN: DE0005785802, WKN: 578580 have crossed the 5% threshold of
the voting rights on February 6, 2013 and on that day amounted to 5.003%
(this corresponds to 15,147,822 voting rights). According to Article 22,
Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 WpHG, 5.003% of the voting rights (this
corresponds to 15,147,822 voting rights) is to be attributed to Mr. Garrett
