On March 20, 2012, Blackrock Advisors Holdings Inc., New York, United
States has informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that
via shares its voting rights on Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA, Bad
Homburg, Germany, ISIN: DE005785802, WKN: 578580 have exceeded the 3%
threshold of the voting rights on March 14, 2012 and on that day amounted
to 3.06% (this corresponds to 9,182,408 voting rights). According to
Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with sentence 2 of
