On October 19, 2011, BlackRock Inc., New York, USA has informed us
according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its voting
rights on Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA, Bad Homburg, Germany, ISIN:
DE0005785802, WKN: 578580, have exceeded the 5% limit of the voting rights
on October 14, 2011 and now amount to 5.01% (this corresponds to 15,020,704
voting rights). According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 of
the WpHG in connection with sentence 2 of the WpHG, 5.01% of the voting
rights (this corresponds to 15,020,704 voting rights) is to be attributed
