SPORTS DIRECT NAMED AS MOST IMPROVED BRAND

Michael Murray today said Sports Direct was on track to become the ultimate sports and lifestyle retailer - after being named as the UK's most improved brand.

Sports Direct was listed as No1 ahead of Netflix at No2, in a top ten of the most improved global brands published by the YouGov BrandIndex in July. 

Mr Murray, Head of Elevation at Sports Direct, said: "This is the third independent index to recognise our progress, giving further evidence that our multi-channel elevation strategy is gaining momentum. We are determined to become the ultimate sports and lifestyle retail destination."

Sports Direct was also recently ranked at No4 ahead of Apple in a list of the world's top 30 retailers published by the Internationalisation Retail Index, and is also amongst the top 10 UK companies with the most improved reputation, according to the Reputation Institute.
