Francotyp-Postalia Acquires Online Supplies Retailer in the USA

Berlin, 1 August 2018 – Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP), the expert in secure mail business and secure digital communication processes, has purchased a US-based online retailer of postage meter supplies. As part of its ACT growth strategy, this acquisition intensifies FP’s sales activities in the USA, expands its customer base, and accelerates its market share growth. The online retail company acquired by the US subsidiary Francotyp-Postalia Inc. generated revenue of USD 1.5 million in fiscal year 2017.

The acquisition is a contribution to further strengthening FP’s market position and provides additional growth impetus. “The US is the biggest individual market opportunity for FP. We continue to attack on the American mailing machine market and to further expand our position. This acquisition is another step in implementing our ACT growth strategy ,” underlines FP’s Chief Sales Officer Patricius de Gruyter.

The companies have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction. The purchase agreement was signed on 1 August 2018.
