Birkenwerder – The listed Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG is well on track
for 2007 after a strong 2006. Adjusted for non-recurring effects, the
operating business in the first quarter of 2007 continued the strong
business trend with an increase of approximately 8 percent. Furthermore
Francotyp-Postalia still intends to pay its first dividend for the current
financial year with a pay-out ratio of 60 percent.

Mailroom: Intensified expansion of international business in key markets

In the conventional franking and inserting business, the Francotyp-Postalia
Group remains the clear market leader in Germany and Austria with a market
share of almost 50 percent. On a global basis, Francotyp-Postalia is ranked
number three with a market share of 9 percent. With the proceeds obtained
from the IPO, the rental business is to be extended, particularly in North
America and the UK.

Particulary in the USA, the biggest and most important rental market for
franking machines, Francotyp-Postalia sold in this year alone in April and
May 3,000 units.

In addition the United States changed in May 2007 its postal fees. This
non-recurring effect generated additional revenues of USD 3 million for
Franotyp-Postalia.

'With the highly profitable and sound business in the Mailroom division,
coupled with the new innovative Mailstream division, we have a good
position. We will not rest on our laurels', stated Hartmut Neumann,
spokesman of the Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG Management Board. 'But our
balance sheet also includes scope for growth above and beyond the funds
from the IPO. We want to follow our motto of financing our growth from our
strong cash flow.'

Mailstream:
• Further freesort GmbH branch opened.
• Increasing presence on the international market
with iab – internet access GmbH .

In Stuttgart, freesort GmbH, which operates in the consolidation business,
opened its sixth branch in May 2007. After opening a branch in Leipzig in
February this year, freesort has a network of six letter sorting centres in
Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Cologne, Hamburg, Leipzig and Stuttgart.
This year it is planned to open two centres in Hanover and Munich. The
objective for 2007 is to exceed a volume of 100 million letters and
generate balanced accounts to the end of the year. In the medium term,
freesort is targeting a market share of 25 percent in Germany.

With the Hybridmail software solution iab – internet access GmbH offers
software which is compatible with all common standards. iab is primarely
internationally expanding its network of strategic alliances. The software
business, sales as well as licensings, will allow with a successful market
presence an important surplus without large extra cost.

80 years. The focus of business activities is developing, producing and
selling franking machines and selling inserting machines. These activities
in the Mailroom division generate a high level of recurring income, which
makes up more than 60 percent of group revenues. The engine of this
revenues stability is the 248,000 electronic franking machines installed

Francotyp-Postalia is the market leader in the franking machine business

Francotyp-Postalia Group generated consolidated revenues of approximately
EUR 143 million* and EBITDA adjusted for non-recurring effects of
approximately EUR 32.2 million*, representing an EBITDA margin of
approximately 22 percent*.

*In the 2005 annual financial statements reported as pro forma figures due
to the first-time consolidation of the FP Group in its present form in
2005.
