Chris Dent appointed as Chief Financial Officer

Franchise Brands plc, a multi-brand international franchisor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Dent as Chief Financial Officer, a Board position, with immediate effect. Chris previously spent four years as Finance Director of AIM-quoted 7digital Group plc (formerly UBC Media Group plc) and began his career at Deloitte LLP where he spent 10 years within audit and corporate finance. Chris is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. 

Paul Below, who has been the Group's interim Chief Financial Officer, will remain with the business until 4 August 2017 allowing for a handover to Chris.

Commenting on the appointment Stephen Hemsley, Executive Chairman, said:

"I am delighted to welcome Chris to Franchise Brands. He will manage the Group finance function from the Metro Rod office in Macclesfield which will also help facilitate the integration of this newly acquired business into the Group.   Chris has excellent technical and transaction experience which will be invaluable given the ambitions of Franchise Brands."

Stephen added: "I would also like to thank Paul Below for his excellent work as an interim Chief Financial Officer at a very important time for the Group, seeing us through both our first financial year end as a plc, a substantial acquisition, reverse takeover and associated fundraising. I wish Paul all the very best in his future roles."
