Gascoyne Exploration Update

Lanthanein Resources Limited (ASX: LNR) (“Lanthanein” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide an update on exploration activities at the Company’s Lyons and Edmund Projects in the Gascoyne of WA.

Lyons and Edmund Project – Gascoyne WA

The Company has undertaken a detailed desktop review of all historical exploration for gold and base metals carried out on the Hart Bore area of the Lyons E09/2515. During the 1980’s through to the 1990’s a number of major mining house exploration teams, including BHP Minerals, Newmont Australia and Newcrest Mining, conducted extensive exploration in the area.

Of particular focus were geochemical, magnetic and radiometric anomalies generated by both Newmont and Newcrest along with auger and RAB drilling of the anomalous gold, base metals and REE values encountered.

The Company has now planned a soil geochemical sampling programme of the prospect areas with gold and base metals anomalism (see Fig 2).

The survey is planned on a line spacing of 1,000m with samples collected every 200m along lines, for a total of 200 samples.

Samples will be assayed at LabWest Minerals Analysis Pty Ltd (LabWest) using the Ultrafine+ technique. Analysis will be done on the <2µm fraction using the Ultrafine+ method for 53 elements.

UltraFine+ analysis is now an established approach to surface exploration analysis using proven geochemical methods to identify sensitive signals at surface, proving useful to help “see through” shallow to moderate cover. Concentration of metals in the ultrafine fraction gives stronger signals, generally well above instrumental detection limits, and increased signal-to-background ratios.
