Fortum's Shareholders' Nomination Board’s updated proposal to the 2021 Annual General Meeting

FORTUM CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 29 MARCH 2021 AT 9.00 EEST

Fortum's Shareholders' Nomination Board has updated its proposal to the 2021
Annual General Meeting and submitted it to the Board of Directors. The proposal
is updated because Klaus-Dieter Maubach is no longer available for re-election
to Fortum’s Board of Directors.

Consequently, the Shareholders' Nomination Board proposes to the Annual General
Meeting that the Board consist of seven (7) members (earlier proposal: eight),
the Chair and the Deputy Chair included.

The Shareholders' Nomination Board proposes that the following persons be
elected to the Board of Directors for a term ending at the end of the 2022
Annual General Meeting:

Proposed to be re-elected as members:

Essimari Kairisto,
Anja McAlister,
Teppo Paavola,
Veli-Matti Reinikkala,
Philipp Rösler, and
Annette Stube.

Proposed to be elected as new member:

Luisa Delgado.

Veli-Matti Reinikkala is proposed to be elected as Chair and Anja McAlister as
Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors.

The Shareholders’ Nomination Board’s original proposal was published on 29
January 2021.
