FORTEC – continuously successful during first half of business year Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– FORTEC – continuously successful during first half of business year – steady order situation – turnover and profit increased by two digits – continuous positive preview Landsberg, 2002-02-28. During first six months of business year 2001/2002, order income was 16,6 million EUR and thus achieved almost same level as last year (16,2 million EUR). Sales in the main business of embedded solutions – its volume is about 95 p.c. – increased by 25% up to 15,9 million EUR during this first half year; profit (EBIT) parallel increased to a mere 1 million EUR. The counter-rotating trend of our smallest product range of semiconductors, however, exactly reflected the current market situation in this cyclical segment. In total, the group’s turnover increased from 14,7 million EUR to 16,8 million EUR and EBIT from EUR 879.169 to EUR 1.009.420. The second half of this business year started with a backlog of 7,3 million EUR that will mostly be delivered within the next six months. Therefore, we are expecting continuous positive business at same level for the remaining quarters of business year 2001/2002.
