Appointment of Director
Focus Minerals Limited (ACN: 005470799) today announces the appointment of Peter Hepburn-Brown to the Focus Board. Mr Hepburn-Brown’s appointment is effective immediately.
Mr Hepburn-Brown has over 35 years mining experience including senior management and Board positions. He has successfully brought many operations into development and as such is well versed in the challenges facing Focus as the company works towards a sustainable restart of operations.
Focus’ Chairman, Mr Jisheng Lu, welcomed Mr Hepburn-Brown’s appointment: “Peter’s mining experience, including first-hand knowledge of many Focus’ assets, will be a valuable addition to the Board’s current skill mix. He is a pragmatic and strategic thinker with excellent mine leadership experience. I look forward to working with him to secure a prosperous future for the Company and its shareholders”
Mr Hepburn-Brown is currently the Chairman of MRL Corporation Limited and in the last five years has also been an Executive Director of Medusa Mining Limited. He graduated from the Western Australian School of Mines with Bachelor of Applied Science and also holds a Graduate Diploma of Human Resources from Monash University.
The Board considers that Mr Hepburn-Brown is an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Focus Minerals Limited - Focus owns two large gold projects in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. The company is the largest landholder in the Coolgardie Gold Belt, where it owns the 1.2Mtpa processing plant at Three Mile Hill. 250km to the northeast Focus has the Laverton Gold Project which comprises a significant portfolio of highly prospective tenure, adjacent to Gold Fields’ Granny Smith operation where it has historically processed ore. Focus also owns the 1.45Mtpa Barnicoat mill in Laverton which has been on care and maintenance since 2009.
