Appointment of a new Chairman of the Management Board
FOCUS HOME INTERACTIVE (FR0012419307 ALFOC), video game publisher, is announcing a change in its management team.
Cédric Lagarrigue, current Chairman of the Management Board, has announced his resignation from the Management Board.
The Supervisory Board has accepted his resignation and would like to thank Cédric for the quality of his work for the company.
Cédric Lagarrigue said, "After spending more than twenty years developing Focus, I have decided to resign as Chairman and member of the Management Board. I would like to thank all the people, studios and partners who have supported me over these twenty extraordinary years. Focus has gone from success to success and has grown to become a well-known player on the international video game market. It will confirm its strong growth in 2018, and its upcoming projects are the most exciting it has ever seen. I am fully confident in Focus's current management team and the company's talented staff, who will continue to deliver performance and excellence."
The Supervisory Board has appointed Jürgen Goeldner, currently a member of the Supervisory Board, to replace Cédric Lagarrigue as Chairman of the Management Board.
Jürgen Goeldner has considerable experience in video games. He founded Rushware GmbH in Germany, then Funsoft Group, which he sold to THQ in 1997, then founded Mobile Scope in 2001, before selling it in 2005. Jürgen was COO at Eidos where he coordinated the merger with
Square Enix. In 2009, he was Chairman of Chillingo, the publisher of Angry Birds, which was sold to Electronic Arts in 2010. Jürgen is currently a board member or adviser to several companies in the video game sector.
Jürgen Goeldner said, "Focus has several licences that offer great potential and I am pleased to be joining this talented team and to be able to share my expertise in drawing on these licences to take the Company to a new stage in its development."
