Weak start to the year leads to lower first quarter profit in 2018

Net sales for FM Mattsson Mora Group in the first quarter of 2018 were approximately 4 percent lower than in the same period last year. The operating profit is expected to be approximately SEK 16.5 million compared to SEK 32.0 million in the same period in 2017. The main factors are lower sales volume and lower efficiency in production. Negative currency effects and higher sales costs due to increased market activities also impacted results negatively. Significant initiatives have been made within sales and marketing, specifically an increased number of sales personnel and increased attendance at industry fairs.

All figures are preliminary and will be confirmed via the normal reporting process. The financial report for the first quarter of 2018 will be made public on 4 May 2018, which is earlier than previously communicated (previous date was 15 May 2018).
