Mergers - Acquisitions - Takeovers/Flughafen WIen AG / Hermione
Flughafen Wien AG hereby gives notice that its subsidiaries Vienna Airport Business Park Immobilienbesitzgesellschaft mbH and VIE Immobilien Betrieb GmbH have purchased a 100% stake in the real estate company Hermione Raiffeisen-Immobilien-Leasing GmbH, a fully-owned subsidiary of Raiffeisen-Leasing Gesellschaft m.b.H.
As a result, several buildings in the core area of Vienna Airport which are essential for the technical operations of the airlines were acquired, including the hangar, the flight catering facility, technical workshops and operations building and related building rights. In the future, these facilities will mainly continue to be leased to Austrian Airlines and NIKI/airberlin on a long-term basis, or they will also be used in part by Flughafen Wien AG itself or by third parties, for example the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The purchase price for the shares in Hermione Raiffeisen-Immobilien-Leasing GmbH totals approx. EUR 1.95 million. Moreover, in addition to this acquisition, Flughafen Wien AG has completely paid back the financing to the amount of EUR 83.7 million connected to the real estate for the purpose of optimizing the financing structure.
