Appointment of New Chairman

Flowgroup plc (AIM: FLOW), which provides residential gas and electricity supply and other energy services to customers across Great Britain, announces the appointment to the Board of Alan C Lovell as Non-Executive Chairman, effective from 26 October 2017. Alan will be replacing John Johnston who has decided to step down from the Board, with immediate effect.

Alan has had an extensive Executive career, with time as Chief Executive of six companies including Infinis Limited, Jarvis plc and Costain Group Plc. He is experienced in helping businesses achieve their full potential by increasing turnover, reducing costs and restructuring finances. 

Alan was more recently Senior Independent Director at AIM listed Sweett Group, the Construction Services specialist, and also Chairman of professional radio technology company Sepura plc. He is currently Chair of the Consumer Council for Water and Association of Lloyd's Members.

John Johnston, Chairman, said:

Alan Charles Lovell, aged 63, holds no shares in the Company and currently holds or has held the following directorships over the past five years:

Alan Lovell was previously a director of Conder UK Limited, which went into receivership and receivers were appointed in September 1992. Mr. Lovell was previously a director of Sports Hub Limited, which went into receivership and receivers were appointed in July 2012. Mr Lovell was also previously a director of Thistle Midco (UK) Limited and Thistle Topco (UK) Limited, which went into receivership and receivers were appointed in July 2016.
