FLETCHER BUILDING APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Auckland, 9 November 2016

The Chairman of Fletcher Building Limited, Sir Ralph Norris, today announced the appointment of Bruce Hassall to the boards of Fletcher Building and its listed issuer of capital notes, Fletcher Building Industries Limited. Mr Hassall will be an independent director and the appointment will be effective from March 2017. He will be a member of the audit and risk and nominations committee.

Mr Hassall is based in Auckland and has until recently been the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner for PwC New Zealand. He is a director of Bank of New Zealand.

Sir Ralph welcomed Mr Hassall to the board, and noted that he will bring significant experience and financial and analytical knowledge to the board.
