New executive appointments announced

Auckland, 25 July 2013 – Fletcher Building chief executive officer Mark Adamson today announced appointments to executive distribution roles in New Zealand and Australia.

Dean Fradgley has been appointed Chief Executive of New Zealand Distribution. He will relocate from the UK to take up his role in October 2013.

Dean has over twenty years’ experience in retailing and for the past thirteen years has worked within the trade and hardware sectors. His senior level experience includes the role of Head of Trade for B&Q, the UK’s largest DIY retailer. Since 2007, he has held a number of senior positions at Wolesely Group, one of the world’s largest plumbing specialist trade distributors, most recently as managing director of the Pipe & Climate Centre.

Tim Hickey has been permanently appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Australian Distribution, with responsibility for the Tradelink and Hudson Building Supplies businesses in Australia. Tim was appointed to this role on an interim basis in March 2013. Tim has previously worked as a Senior Executive for Yum Brands of the US and as the CEO of Midas Australia. Under Tim’s leadership, Midas was transformed from a position of voluntary administration into a profitable franchise operation.
