ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS’ MEETING AND DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS

Auckland, 14 August 2007 – Fletcher Building advises that the 2007 annual shareholders’ meeting will be held at 10.00 am on 13 November 2007 at the Langham Hotel, 83 Symonds Street, Auckland.

In terms of the company’s constitution and the New Zealand Exchange Limited Listing Rule 3.3.2, the period for nomination of directors has opened, and will remain open until 5.00 pm on 13 September 2007.
