ECLIPX GROUP LIMITED (ASX: ECX, “ECLIPX”) ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS

Eclipx is pleased to announce three new appointments to the Eclipx Executive team; Damien Berrell as Group CFO, Dom Di Gori as Treasurer and James Allaway as Group Head Strategy, Restructuring and M&A.

Damien Berrell is appointed as Group CFO, effective 18 April 2020. Damien joins Eclipx from GE Custom Fleet, where he has been CFO since 2015.

At GE, and subsequently as CFO of Custom Fleet, Damien played a lead role in the separation of Custom Fleet into Element, and in the repositioning of Custom Fleet in Australia and New Zealand. This included the establishment of a A$1 billion securitisation funding program, the implementation of fleet and finance ERPs and the re-engineering of their finance and operational processes.

Damien led the introduction of Custom Fleet’s go-to-market pricing strategy, product penetration, and numerous automation projects within operations, including in-life and end-of-lease management, that led to increased revenue, margins and lower operating costs for the business.

Eclipx CEO Julian Russell said: “We are very pleased with the appointment of Damien. Throughout his career, Damien has demonstrated strong operational and financial rigour, as well as strategic thinking. He is very well regarded in our industry and brings a demonstrated track record of execution within fleet management businesses.”

Prior to joining Custom Fleet, Damien held senior finance positions at GE including GE Capital in Australia & New Zealand, Japan, Asia and in the US. Damien qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 while at BDO in Sydney.

Eclipx Acting CFO, Jason Muhs will transition the CFO role to Damien, and will remain as a Group Executive with oversight of productivity, investor relations and reporting.

Damien’s appointment comes shortly after the appointment of Dom Di Gori as Group Treasurer and James Allaway as Group Head of Strategy, Restructuring and M&A.

Dom Di Gori joins Eclipx from ANZ Banking Group where he was Head of Diversified Financials in the Financial Institutions Group responsible for the coverage of the Bank’s relationships with Australian Bank and non-bank financial institutions. Prior to that Dom was an Executive Director in ANZ’s Structured Capital Markets team where he executed a number of notable structured finance and capital markets transactions for a range of capital markets issuers. Dom has more than 15 years’ experience in the Australian banking and debt capital markets structuring a range of funding solutions for both ADIs and non-bank issuers. In his time with ANZ he was the Bank’s representative on the Regulatory Committee of the Australian Securitisation Forum and also the Bank’s APRA delegate for securitisation related matters.

James Allaway joins the Group from UBS and Citi, where he was highly regarded by his banking peers for his strategic perspective and intense work-rate. James’ analytical capability, developed during his time working in financial institutions advisory coverage, has already proven highly beneficial to the Group. James started with an intimate knowledge of Eclipx given his defence advisory role during the proposed merger with McMillan Shakespeare and the sale of GraysOnline and AreYouSelling. His combined understanding of the Group, its strategic initiatives and his M&A experience adds significant value for the Group as it evolves its strategic agenda during, and post, the Eclipx Simplification Plan.
