Appointment of new Chief Executive Officer

Notification made in accordance with Rule 9.6.11(3) of the Listing Rules.

James Fisher and Sons plc, the leading marine services provider, announces that Eoghan O'Lionaird will be appointed to the Board with effect from 1 September 2019.

Eoghan will become Chief Executive Officer on 1 October 2019 at which point Nick Henry, who has been CEO for the last fifteen years, will step down from the Board. Nick will however remain employed by James Fisher until 31 March 2020 to ensure a smooth and effective transition of responsibility.

Eoghan was selected after a rigorous search process led by an Executive Search firm involving both internal and external candidates.  Eoghan has been Divisional CEO and a member of the Executive Committee at his current employer, Spectris Plc, a FTSE 250 company supplying precision instrumentation and controls.  Prior to joining Spectris, Eoghan held senior management roles at Danaher Corporation and Royal Philips Electronics. An engineer by background, Eoghan started his career in Japan with technical, marketing and management roles at Mitsui Kinzoku.

In accordance with Listing Rule LR 9.6.13 (1) Eoghan has held no other directorships in any other publicly quoted company at any time in the previous five years. There is no further information to disclose in respect of LR 9.6.13. Eoghan does not have an interest to be disclosed in the shares of James Fisher.
