Glen Morrison (EL7699, TLU: 100%)
Tellus Resources Ltd (ASX: TLU) is pleased to announce the commencement of resource delineation drilling at its Glen Morrison Project within the Southern New England area in eastern New South Wales.
Tellus will conduct a comprehensive 2,000 metre Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program to test the potential depth expressions of the Golden Star and Golden Bar Reefs and other targets identified within the 120km[2] project area. Further drilling is planned to follow up on the results of this initial program.
Recent rock chip sampling by Tellus of surface veins at Glen Morrison returned gold values of up to 9.56 g/t gold .
Technical Director David Ward said, “The first stage of our drilling program at Glen Morrison is the investigation of the resource potential of the area where there is a deep history of successful mining dating back to the early 1890’s.
“The Glen Morrison Project is within the scantly explored New England Orogen and Tellus is one of the first Australian resource companies to use modern exploration techniques to target Intrusive‐Related Gold Deposits (IRGS) and to comprehensively test the mineralised potential of the broader region beyond those early workings.
“This drilling program is expected to take approximately one month and we expect will greatly enhance our confidence in the geological model. We will update shareholders and the market with progress as results are received”, he added.
