FirstWave signs landmark agreement with Vodafone Idea Limited

Highlights:

• Three-year contract signed with Vodafone Idea Limited (recently rebranded as Vi), a leading telecom services provider in India, to launch the full suite of FirstWave’s CCSP cybersecurity-as-a-service offering to its business customer base

• Rigorous trials and technical due diligence successfully concluded prior to signing and services to be available from 01 October 2020

Leading Australian-headquartered, global, SaaS-based cybersecurity technology company, FirstWave Cloud Technology Limited (ASX: FCT) ( FirstWave ), is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Vodafone Idea Limited (recently rebranded as Vi , websites www.vodafoneidea.com and www.myvi.in), a leading telecom services provider, as a new Level 1 partner in India to deliver FirstWave’s CCSP cybersecurityas-a-service solutions to its business customers.

India is the world’s second largest telecommunication market with nearly 1.2 billion telecom subscribers and over 500 million internet subscribers. Vi is one of the leading service providers serving India’s rapidly growing business sector comprising over 50 million registered businesses.

Under this new partnership, Vi will be the first in India to offer FirstWave’s new multi-tenanted firewall-as-aservice to its business customers. This will enable Vi to deliver a “clean pipe” solution to any small business customer on its network. In addition, Vi will offer FirstWave’s cybersecurity-as-a-service email and web solutions to protect businesses from damaging cybercrime attacks such as ransomware, spear phishing, data theft and impersonation/fraud including Business Email Compromise (BEC).

In keeping with FirstWave’s unique service proposition – democratising enterprise grade cybersecurity-as-aservice – the vast number of small and medium businesses across India can now be protected from unwanted cyber-intruders gaining access to critical company data, on a consumption basis, at an affordable monthly price.

For medium and large businesses, Vi has recently successfully concluded customer trials of FirstWave’s remote worker cybersecurity offering and will commence offering these services in October 2020 as well.
