High profit in the 2006 business year

As expected, the performance of the Silicon Sensor group during the 2006
business year set a new standard, with sales rising more than 107 per cent
over the same period last year, to € 33.0 mn (12/31/2005: € 15.97 mn).

The operating result EBIT grew by € 3.2 mn, or 160 %, from € 2.0 mn
(12/31/2005) to € 5.2 mn (12/31/2006). The result after interest and taxes
was improved from € 1.34 mn (12/31/2005) to € 2.9 mn, which is an increase
of € 1.56 mn or 116 per cent.

Due to an increase in the number of shares, the income per share for the
reporting period was € 0.83 Euro, an improvement of € 0.31 Euro or 60 per
cent compared with last year (12/31/2005: € 0.52). This welcome trend has
continued into the present quarter.

A particularly positive development is seen in the order backlog which, for
the group as a whole, grew by 102 %, to € 20.56 mn (12/31/2006) over last
year (12/31/2005: € 10.2 mn). Workforce size rose from 222 on December 31,
2005 to 240 at present.

Middle of March the supervisory board and the board of directors will
decide on a dividend for the 2006 business year.

All figures reflect the current and provisional status of the consolidated
annual financial statements and may be amended on the basis of audit
findings. The complete annual report will be published on March 28, 2007.
