Half year result once more improved

August 29, 2007

The Silicon Sensor group continued to grow dynamically during the 2nd
quarter of the 2007 business year. Compared with the same period in 2006,
sales increase 20 per cent and reached € 18.82 mn in the first half of the
year (6/30 2006: € 15.62 mn). In the 2nd quarter, sales rose by some 11 %
over the year before, while quarterly surplus increased by 64 %.

EBIT operative results rose by € 1.942 mn, from € 2.558 mn (6/30 2006) to €
4.5 mn (6/30 2007), a growth rate of 76 %. The result after interest and
tax improved by 69 % over the previous year, from € 1.525 mn (6/30 2006) to
€ 2.577 mn. Earnings per share over the reporting period were € 0.73, an
improvement of € 0.29 over the previous year (6/30 2006: € 0.44). This
welcome trend has continued into the present quarter.

A particularly positive development is seen in the order backlog which, for
the group as a whole, grew by 16 %, to € 21.99 mn (6/30: 2007) over last
year (6/30 2006: € 19.0 mn). Workforce size rose from 230 on June 30, 2006
to 280 at present.
