Silicon Sensor International AG: Nine months result once more improved

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ad-hoc-Mitteilung nach § 15 WpHG Silicon Sensor International AG, Charlottenstraße 57, 10117 Berlin Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse, Prime Standard WKN: 720190, ISIN DE0007201907 Neunmonatsergebnis nochmals verbessert 28.11.2006 Der Silicon Sensor Konzern hat seine sehr dynamische Entwicklung auch im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2006 erfolgreich fortsetzen können. Der Umsatz stieg in den ersten neun Monaten im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum um mehr als das Zweieinhalbfache auf 24,35 Mio. Euro (30.09.2005: 9,4 Mio. Euro). Allein im dritten Quartal 2006 stieg der Umsatz gegenüber dem Vorjahresquartal um 212 % und der Quartalsüberschuss um 1.161 %. Das operative Ergebnis EBIT nahm um 2,7 Mio. Euro von 1,22 Mio. Euro (30.09.2005) auf 3,93 Mio. Euro (30.09.2006) zu und damit um 222 %. Das Ergebnis nach Zinsen und Steuern konnte gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum um 164 % von 845 TEuro (30.09.2005) auf 2,23 Mio. Euro verbessert werden. Der Gewinn je Aktie stieg im Berichtszeitraum trotz der stark gestiegenen Aktienzahl auf 0,65 Euro und verbesserte sich damit um 0,29 Euro gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum (30.09.2005: 0,36 Euro). Auch im laufenden Geschäftsquartal setzt sich diese sehr erfreuliche Entwicklung fort. Besonders positiv sehen wir die Entwicklung des Auftragsbestandes. Der Auftragsbestand im Konzern erhöhte sich um 181 % auf 21,66 Mio. Euro (30.09.2006) gegenüber dem Niveau des Vorjahreszeitraumes (30.09.2005: 7,72 Mio. Euro). Compared with the same period in 2005, sales more than doubled and reached € 24.35 mn in the first half of the year (9/30 2005: € 9.4 mn). In the 3nd quarter, sales rose by some 212 % over the year before, while quarterly surplus increased by 1.161 %. EBIT operative results rose by € 2.7 mn, from € 1.22 mn (9/30 2005) to € 3.93 mn (9/30 2006), a growth rate of 222 %. The result after interest and tax improved by 164 % over the previous year, from € 845,000 (9/30 2005) to € 2.23 mn. Due to the greater number of shares after a capital increase in 2005, earnings per share over the reporting period were € 0.65, an improvement of € 0.29 over the previous year (9/30 2005: € 0.36). This welcome trend has continued into the present quarter. A particularly positive development is seen in the order backlog which, for the group as a whole, grew by 181 %, to € 21.66 mn (9/30 2006) over last year (9/30 2005: € 7.72 mn).
