DISPOSAL OF OWN SHARES

FINNAIR PLC STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 9 MAY 2008 at 15.00 DISPOSAL OF OWN SHARES According to a decision of the Board of Directors of Finnair Plc, the company has on May 9, 2008 transferred a total of 327,693 Finnair shares to the participants of the 2007-2009 Share Incentive Scheme for the earning period 2007. Additional 37,219 shares will be transferred in the autumn 2008. Share transfers are based on the authorization given by the Annual General Meeting held on March 27, 2008. After these share transfers, Finnair holds 385.088 own shares. For the earning period 2007 the share incentives were determined on the basis of the earnings per share (EPS) and the return on capital employed (ROCE). Out of these goals 94.4% were achieved.
