FINBAR ACQUIRES NORTHBRIDGE DEVELOPMENT SITE

• Finbar acquires Northbridge site for $6 million.

• Finbar to develop ~85 residential apartments plus commercial lots.

• Acquisition to settle in May 2014.

• ~$50 million end project value.

• Project anticipated to contribute to Finbar earnings in FY17.

Perth, 12 November 2013: Western Australia’s leading apartment development company, Finbar Group Limited (ASX: FRI) ( Finbar or the Company ) is pleased to announce an acquisition to develop a 2,119 square metre site located at 269 James Street (corner of Fitzgerald Street) in Northbridge.

The site is prime development land located one kilometre from the Perth Central Business District, adjacent to public transport and the freeway system, while only a short walk from the Northbridge restaurant precinct. The project is also only 500 metres from four of Finbar’s former successful projects.

Finbar’s wholly owned subsidiary has entered into an unconditional contract to purchase the property for $6 million and will settle the purchase in May 2014.

Finbar is currently exploring several design options which will likely result in the development of 85 or more residential apartments plus ground floor commercial lots with an end value of approximately $50 million. The wholly owned project is anticipated to contribute to FY17 earnings.

Finbar Managing Director Darren Pateman said, “With our FY14 through FY16 pipeline now showing a strong growth trajectory for our company, we are focused on bolstering our FY17 projects and believe this wholly owned development land will benefit greatly from the opening up of the Perth northern corridor through the completion of the Northbridge Link project.”
