Burruna Drilling Update

Orca Energy Limited (“ Orca ” or the “ Company ”) (ASX: OGY) is pleased to provide the following drilling update from Joint Venture Partner and Operator, Senex Energy Limited (“ Senex ” ASX: SXY).

Highlights

  • Burruna‐3 appraisal well to spud later this week to provide further oil production from the high quality Namur reservoir

  • Burruna‐2 now free‐flowing oil at a constrained rate of 1,000 bopd

Burruna‐3 (OGY 20%)

Appraisal well Burruna‐3, which will spud later this week, is expected to accelerate production from the prolific Namur Formation following the success of Burruna‐2, which flowed at rates of up to 3,600 bopd.

Burruna‐3 is located 564 metres southeast of Burruna‐2 and is expected to be drilled to a total depth of 1,666 metres. Burruna‐3 will access the southern extent of the structural closure associated with Burruna‐2 (see Figure 1).

The Burruna‐2 oil discovery has been completed for production and is now free‐flowing oil at a constrained rate of approximately 1,000 bopd. Burruna‐2 intersected 5.3 metres of net oil pay in the Namur Formation and free‐flowed oil to surface at a rate of more than 3,600 bopd during testing.
