BOARD APPOINTMENT

Filtronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of antennas, filters and mmWave products for the wireless telecoms and critical communications markets, announces the appointment of Peter (Pete) Magowan as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Pete is an experienced board executive, having served on the main board of ARM Holdings plc and Superscape plc, during the course of a career working in global technology companies. Pete also previously served as the Head of Energy Investments at Fidelity International.

Pete's early operational career was in sales and marketing at leading technology companies. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and a Diploma in Marketing from the University of Bristol Business School.

It is intended that Pete will chair the Company's Remuneration Committee and will be a member of both the Audit and Nominations Committees.
