Agnès Paillard is co-opted as an independent member of Fermentalg's Board of Directors

Libourne – 27 October 2014 – Fermentalg, an industrial biotechnology company that specializes in the production of oils and proteins derived from microalgae, is pleased to announce that Mrs Agnès Paillard has been co-opted as an independent director¹ .

Agnès Paillard is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the French National Institute for Industrial Property (Inpi), President of the Aerospace Valley competitiveness cluster and Vice-President responsible for regional innovation policy for Airbus Group France. A graduate of ESPCI ParisTech, Agnès Paillard was Chief Executive of Serma Technologies from 1995 to 2002 before being appointed Deputy Director in charge of economic development, research and technology transfer for the Regional Council of Aquitaine until 2009.

The day of tribute organized by the Enzyme and Cellular Engineering laboratory of the Université de Technologie de Compiègne on 10 October once again brought to light the Professor's extensive contribution to the field of life sciences and biotechnologies."

¹ The resolution to co-opt Mrs Paillard will be ratified by Fermentalg's next Annual General Meeting of shareholders.

Fermentalg's decision to appoint a new independent director to its Board is part of its commitment to implementing the procedures needed to ensure its compliance with the core recommendations of MiddleNext's corporate governance code.
