UPDATE ON PROPOSED TRANSACTION BETWEEN EMERGENT RESOURCES LIMITED AND WEST ROCK RESOURCES LIMITED
On 21[st] January 2013, Emergent Resources Limited (ASX: EMG) (“ Emergent ” or “ the Company ”) announced that it had entered into a conditional heads of agreement (“ Heads of Agreement ”)to acquire 100% of the fully paid ordinary shares in the capital of West Rock Resources Limited. The Heads of Agreement is conditional on a number of events including the completion of reasonable legal, financial, technical and operational due diligence.
The Emergent Board wishes to advise that after further consideration the Company has decided not to proceed with the transaction.
The Company will continue to work hard to identify and capitalise on attractive project and business opportunities both in Australia and overseas that will reposition Emergent and deliver shareholder value.
