GEORGE McMASTER RESIGNS AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR EFFECTIVE 28 FEBRUARY 2011

Emergent Resources advises that Mr George McMaster, a Non-Executive Director of the Company has tendered his resignation from Emergent’s Board effective 28 February 2011.

Commenting on his decision to step down Mr McMaster said, “I have for some time recognised the need for the Emergent Resources Board to undergo a renewal to meet the challenges of the next stage of the Company’s development. This renewal process began with the appointment of Rob Boylan to the Board and shortly thereafter the appointment of Wolfgang Fischer as Executive Chairman.”

He went on to say, “Given my satisfaction with the restructure of the Emergent management and Board accomplished thus far, I have decided to give notice of my resignation as a director of Emergent effective on 28 February 2011. I have chosen this date to ensure that there is sufficient time for the appointment of additional directors and to encourage the search and recruitment process that has begun.”
