Senior Management Appointment

FBD Holdings plc is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Jim Ryan to the role of Chief Commercial Officer for FBD Insurance plc ("FBD").

Mr. Ryan joins FBD from Ulster Bank Group where he held the role of Managing Director - Branch Banking, with responsibility for over 1,300 employees and 110 bank branches.  Prior to joining the Ulster Bank Group in 2008, Mr. Ryan held the role of Sales Director for eircom, Ireland's largest telecommunications company.

A Certified Bank Director, Mr. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Studies primary degree and he obtained an MSc in Business Administration from Trinity College Dublin.

Mr. Ryan will join FBD on 9 May and will have responsibility for FBD's thirty three branches throughout Ireland, as well as its consumer and financial solutions businesses.  He will report directly to group CEO Fiona Muldoon.

Commenting on the appointment Ms. Muldoon said:

"We are delighted to have Jim's sales leadership as part of our new FBD team.  I believe he will make a great contribution to FBD Insurance bringing, as he does, a depth of experience in managing branches around the country as well as excellent commercial financial services experience.  We welcome him on board."
